The Woman Behind The Basement
I’m Beverly Risk — artist, coach, and founder of Feral Church Basement.
What started as a late-night project in survival became a living altar for the feral and the faithful alike.
FCB is where I put everything I’ve learned about collapse, creation, and coming back anyway.
It’s not about being fixed — it’s about being found.
The Feral Church Basement isn’t just something I built — it’s the place I needed long before I had the language for it.
Every version of me, every rupture, every reinvention, every messy resurrection led here. I’ve lived through enough chaos, grief, healing, and becoming to know that people don’t need perfection — they need a space where their whole self is allowed to exist.
The Basement is that space.
It’s where softness and ruin can sit next to each other without apology.
Where you don’t have to be holy to be worthy, or polished to belong.
Where the stories that shaped me can make room for the stories that shaped you.
This is my legacy because it’s the first thing I’ve created that reflects all of me — the tender, the feral, the funny, the flawed, the human.
If you’ve ever needed a quiet corner to breathe, unravel, rebuild, or just be…
you’ve found it.
Welcome to the Basement.🕯️
